Play therapy assists in facilitating an understanding/identification of feelings, how to cope with them and how to express them in a more adaptive way. Play therapy allows your child to story (make sense of) his/her difficulties and experience a sense of agency in dealing with these difficulties. As a family member or guardian you play a vital role in your child’s therapy. You are considered to be an active partner in the treatment process.
